May 25 is Backyard Games Day! Stars0 reviews (Do you like this day? Rate it!)

Backyard Games Day National Backyard Game Week occurs around Memorial Day weekend. I decided to turn it into a day instead.

Celebrate this day by setting up an obstacle course in your yard of fun things for the kids to do. If it's not a nice day, you can easily setup a smaller scale of fun things to do in your house. The main idea is to get your kids moving - jumping, hopping, skipping - and of course having fun!

Are You Ready to Play Outside? Are You Ready to Play Outside? by Mo Willems
Friends Elephant and Piggie are playing outside when it starts to rain, and then they must decide what to do.

Game Ideas

I usually just go in my garage, and pull out all the stuff and make an obstacle course, or 'stations'. The kids love this!!! Mine have just as much fun helping me come up with the obstacles and stations, so get them involved too. Here's some ideas you can try:

- Hopscotch
- Bike around cones, or weave through cones
- Bean bag toss, ring toss
- Hula hooping
- Jump roping
- Something with water if it's warm (slip-n-slide, water balloons, kiddie pool)
- playing catch or bouncing a ball
- crawl through tunnels or tents
