Laughing Toddlers

1. Pretending objects are something else - use a shoe for a telephone, put a bowl on your head for a hat, etc.
2. Misnaming objects - toddlers love learning that everything has a name, and will then enjoy 'misnaming' things, such as pointing to their nose and saying it's their ear.
3. Playing chase - 'I am going to get you' will usually lead to fun and laughter!
4. Picking them up and chasing something else - like another person or the dog!
5. Hide and seek
6. A classic tickle torture!

Laughing Children

1. I don't know why children find this funny, but an accidental trip and fall (or any other pretend injury) always creates a laugh.
2. Tell them they are the parent and you are the child, then act super crazy as they try to take care of you. (As it turns out, this is fun for you too).
3. Pretend you are asleep (with exaggerated snoring), then when they come near you, startle them silly.
4. Any other nonsensical behavior you can think of!
5. Tell them some jokes or take turns making up jokes.
