April 9 is Library Day! Stars0 reviews (Do you like this day? Rate it!)

Library Day On this day in 1833, the 1st public library opened. When my first child was born, I was buying all of his books. It took me a couple of months before I realized I should be going to the library!!! I hadn't even been to the library since we had moved to our town 3 years before.

This day is all about visiting your local library, checking out what great programs they have for children, and letting your child pick out some of their favorite books! This is a great way for them to get excited about books and reading. One of my favorite things about my local library is that their book system is online! I can place holds on books ahead of time, search for books, and even renew books that I have checked out, so I don't get a late fee! We also enjoy going to the library just to play, and sometimes join a friend too, especially on a rainy day when we just need to get out of the house!
